Please read the following fully as it contains important information about North Star Membership.

 

Membership

 

Annual membership of North Star Trampoline Club runs from 1st August to 31st July and is £80. This includes BAGA membership costs and as we are a competition club, all members need to have Silver BAGA membership which costs £43.

 

If your child’s BAGA membership is renewed through another club, please ensure you pass their membership number to us and your Club Membership will be reduced to £37 annually.

 

BAGA Registration

 

Due to GDPR, we are unable to register membership on your behalf and parents/carers must do this via the BAGA website although we do then pay the fees from your membership. You must do this by registering/renewing directly via the BAGA website before your child joins club and renew in September when we will send an email to all members. By adding the membership to the ‘club basket’, this ensures we will on your behalf from membership fees paid to us (see above).

 

Please note that if you do not register your child with BAGA they are unable to bounce as they will not be insured but you will still be liable for club fees and membership, regardless of what time of the year you join.

 

Registration

 

In order to manage the club more effectively, we have an online club management system which we use for:

 

·         Contact re fees and payment details and deadlines

·         Registration and contact details for members

 

This needs to be updated every year and automatic emails are sent to members – please follow the link in the emails to create your account.

 

Session costs

 

ession costs which remain at £4.25 per hour for the 5th year in a row. This is a very competitive price and in many cases cheaper than other clubs. All payments, including those for competition entry and uniform must be done via bank transfer so please do not send cheques or cash in to Linda.

We continue to have members who do not pay fees on time and in some cases we are owed in excess of 3 payment blocks. We are entirely dependent on fees to keep the club running so late or non-payment has an impact. It also increases the workload of committee members who all support the club on a voluntary basis. We try to be lenient but as the club has a number of children waiting to join, we will have no choice but to remove members who have not paid fees. This is absolutely not something we wish to do but will be compelled to where fees are outstanding.

 

Due to increased costs associated with running the club, we are unfortunately no longer able to give 2 free holiday weeks to members.

 

We have had a number of members who leave club without informing us. Anyone who wishes to leave club must give notice via email.  Fees will be payable until 4 weeks from that point which allows us to enrol new members.

 

Block dates

 

In order to help us run club more smoothly, we are moving to 3-month blocks for fees. This will also help parents be more aware of when fees are due (August, November, February, May). Dates for 19/20 are:

Friday Bank holidays will be deducted when they occur as will any cancelled sessions.

Uniforms

You may be aware that all club members have a club leotard as they are unable to compete without one. If your child does not have one of the leotards, please speak to Linda so that one can be ordered.  We are aiming to ‘recycle’ leotards which are in good condition where members leave or grow out of them which reduces the cost by half. The leotards are specially designed for the club so please ensure we have first refusal on leotards no longer required. This is for the benefit of the members as it keeps costs down.

Tracksuits may be subsidised by club subject to funding so if you need a track suit please let us know.  We are only able to order leotards and tracksuits in sets of 6 so there may be a wait.

 

Communication with Club

 

Our main methods to communicate with you are Facebook and Clubbuzz. Please do not submit enquiries via the website as they don’t come through to us. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to speak to Linda or contact us on

northstartrampoline@outlook.com and one of us will be in touch. Also, please do not submit individual queries via Facebook as we are unable to provide information that way.

 

Competitions

 

As we are a competitive club, all members will now be automatically entered into competitions. If there is a specific reason why your child should not be entered into any, please let Linda know in advance.  Competition dates and schedules will be shared via clubbuzz or Facebook.

Please note that for schools’ competitions, the committee has no involvement other than as parents. There is often confusion over this because of where we are based but, in those instances, you are responsible for arranging entry via your school.  Please speak to Linda if you need further information.

Support required

We continue to struggle with enough judges and officials for competitions despite asking for volunteers. As a result, all fines will have to be added to the competition costs for children. Please speak to one of us, or email at the above address, if you, or a family member would be willing to help out. We would cover the cost of training.
