    Dear Parent/Carer

     

    Please read the following fully as it contains important information about North Star Membership.

     

    Membership

     

    Annual membership of North Star Trampoline Club runs from 1st August to 31st July and is £70. This does not include BAGA membership which provides insurance for your child.

    If your child’s BAGA membership is renewed through another club, please ensure you pass their membership number to us.

     

    BAGA Registration

     

    As we are a competition club, all members need to have Competitive BAGA membership.  You must arrange membership by registering/renewing directly via the BAGA website before your child joins club and renew each year in September when you will receive a reminder. 

     

    Please note that if you do not register your child with BAGA they are unable to bounce as they will not be insured but you will still be liable for club fees and membership, regardless of what time of the year you join.

     

    Registration

     

    In order to manage the club more effectively, we have an online club management system which we use for:

     

    • Contact re fees and payment details and deadlines
    • Registration and contact details for members

     

    This needs to be updated every year and automatic emails are sent to members.

     

    New members must email northstartrampoline@outlook.com so that we have an email address to send the registration link to.  You will receive a link to complete your registration via email so please check your spam/junk folder in case it goes there. Children are unable to bounce unless club registration is complete as we will have no emergency contact details otherwise.

     

    Session costs

     

    Session costs are £7 per hour per session and this a very competitive price and in many cases cheaper than other clubs. All payments, including those for competition entry and uniform must be done via bank transfer. This will also include S & C exercises during the trampoline session.

    We continue to have members who do not pay fees on time and in some cases, we are owed more than 3 payment blocks. We are entirely dependent on fees to keep the club running so late or non-payment has an impact. We try to be lenient but as the club has several children waiting to join, we will have no choice but to remove members who have not paid fees. This is not something we wish to do but will be compelled to where fees are outstanding.

     

    Occasionally we need to cancel sessions and where a cancellation occurs, if we know before a payment block, we will deduct in advance but if not, it will be deducted from the following block. Where sessions fall on a bank holiday, this is also deducted automatically.

     

    Should you wish to leave club, please give notice us via email.  Fees will be payable until 4 weeks from that point which allows us to enrol new members.

    Uniforms

     

    You may be aware that all club members have a club leotard prior to any competition as they are unable to compete without one.  We aim to ‘recycle’ leotards which are in good condition where members leave or grow out of them which reduces the cost by half. The leotards are specially designed for the club so please ensure we have first refusal on leotards no longer required. This is for the benefit of the members as it keeps costs down. We usually do an order twice a year and will let you know well in advance.

     

    Competitions

     

    We are a competitive club, and members will now be automatically entered into competitions. If there is a specific reason why your and child should not be entered into any, please let Linda know in advance.  Competition dates and schedules will be shared via email and/or Facebook.

     

     

    Communication with Club

     

    Our main methods to communicate with you are Facebook and Clubbuzz email.  If you use Facebook, please look for the club and ask to join as this is a closed group.

     

    Please do not submit enquiries via the website as they don’t come through to us. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to speak to Maria or contact us on

    northstartrampoline@outlook.com and one of us will be in touch. Also, please do not submit individual queries via Facebook as we are unable to provide information that way.

     

    Urgent support needed

     

    We continue to struggle with enough judges and officials for competitions despite asking for volunteers. As a result, all fines will have to be added to the competition costs for children. Please speak to one of us, or email at the above address, if you, or a family member would be willing to help out. We would cover the cost of training.

     

    We will also be offering the older gymnasts the opportunity to become assist coaches, more details to follow, hover please register your interest via email. FAO, Maria.
